|

I'm trying to install WHMCS (protected by ionCube) in a shared hosting server. I'm hitting on following error -
"Site error: the ionCube PHP Loader needs to be installed. This is a widely used PHP extension for running ionCube protected PHP code, website security and malware blocking. Please visit get-loader.ioncube.com for install assistance."
I contacted my hosting provider and this is what they responded..
"IonCube loader is no longer supported because it is incompatible with PHP opcache. This is a defect with ionCube loader and is not under our control.."
Is there a fix for this issue? Or is there a workaround for me to get my script installed? sadly this protection is infact killing its purpose and preventing customers.. Any help is highly appreciated.. |

Hi,
To be blunt, your hosting provider is talking nonsense! The ionCube Loader is not incompatible with OPCache.
We regularly test the ionCube Loader both with and without OPCache installed.
Why do they think that and who are they? If there is any fault in the ionCube Loader with regard to OPCache then we would like to know. _________________ Alastair

We didn't see such issues. It works ok with opcache. _________________ PlotHost.com |
