If I were to create a license utilizing information from ioncube_server_data(); and then selecting an adapter. Would that mean:

1) If they ever change hosting, the license is no longer valid.

2) If they are on shared/virtual-private hosting, that the license would work for any domain on that server.

Yes. They normaly would be on a new server at the new hoster, which for sure has a different MAC-Address. Which means the "adapter" is different. The license will not valid anymore.

In most cases (nearly all) this will be the resault. All sites which are hosted on this shared-server and use the same "adapter" can use the license.

You should use Domain/IP-restrictions.
MAC/Adapter should be used as additional feature.
MAC-Addresses can be changed or "spoofed" so use the Adapter-restriction together with one
of the other restrictions. (At least Domain)

Typically, why should a script be licensed on MAC? What is it necessary for? Isn't domain/ip restriction enough?
