The server ioncube is loaded on does very little web hosting and is primarily for a single site which has an online order system which uses ioncube (Modernbill). The site that uses ioncube loader works find. The problem is one of the few other sites we host that also uses php pages is showing the following error at the bottom of each screen:

Failed loading C:\Inetpub\vhosts\****.com\httpdocs\billing\ioncube\ioncube_loader_win_4.3.dll

And this error on this other site's contact page:

Parse error: parse error in C:\Inetpub\vhosts\*****.com\httpdocs\contacted.php on line 277
Failed loading C:\Inetpub\vhosts\*****.com\httpdocs\billing\ioncube\ioncube_loader_win_4.3.dll

____________________________________________

The first error I listed, the asteriks replace the name of the site that actually uses the loader for Modernbill. The second error (from the contact page) asteriks replace that same site's name. I have no idea why this other site that doesn't even use ioncube is getting the error.

My only thought is that the php.ini file loads ioncube from the vhost directory of the site that uses it:

zend_extension_ts = C:\Inetpub\vhosts\*****.com\httpdocs\billing\ioncube\ioncube_loader_win_4.3.dll

while the extension directory in php.ini is set to a different dir:

extension_dir ="C:\Program Files\SWsoft\Plesk\Additional\Php\extensions"

PLEASE HELP!

P.S. Yet, a third site is also experiencing some sort of problem with php forums, perhaps unrelated.

Hi

This is just because you haven't put double quotes around the path in the php.ini file. The php.ini processing in PHP is pretty poor, and even on Windows, where a backslash is part of the file name, you need to quote paths to prevent the slash being treated as an escape operator.

so, the syntax should actually be something like this:

zend_extension_ts = ""C:\Program Files\SWsoft\Plesk\Additional\Php\extensions\ioncube_loader_win_4.3.dll""

?

No, one set of double quotes - one at each end. When you first tried, you had none.

So this:

zend_extension_ts = "C:\Program Files\SWsoft\Plesk\Additional\Php\extensions\ioncube_loader_win_4.3.dll"

?
