I just installed, for the first time in ages, an update for PHP ProBid which uses IPF. At first, i had no idea what it was or why I was downloading an .exe for a linux distribution. So I said to myself: "What the hell" and ran it anyway!

I was really impressed! I didn't have to open my FTP client AND my SSH client to install the scripts! I think we're going to pick up a copy of this to complement our ionCube encoder!

Questions about the future though: Will IPF have support for executing scripts like PHP scripts, bash scripts, or performing command line executions? If so, what platform?

This is another great ionCube product!

I've been using encoder/IPF to fully automate a cms install from the desktop for clients.

Once the package is launched and has uploaded the files, it runs the PHP install script on the server via browser to set up the database.

One click install! Smile
