I'm running FreeBSD with PHP 4.3.x and I have a billing package that requires ioncube loader.

Since phpa was compatible with Loader, I would only call PHPA in my php.ini.

[phpa]
zend_extension = "/usr/local/lib/php_accelerator_1.3.3r2.so"
phpa.phpa = on
phpa.cache_dir = /tmp
phpa.shm_size = 16

However the latest loader is no longer recognized. It gives me the generic 'these files have encoded with IONCUBE'.

For now, since I need my billing package to work, I just have LOADER and no PHPA.

[ioncube]
zend_extension = "/usr/local/lib/ioncube_loader_fre_4.3.so"

I tried loading both ioncube and PHPA together, but that made my apache procceses eat all my ram.

Any idea's?

Thank You.

Hi

PHPA is incompatible at the moment. We're releasing a new performance system later this year which offers better performance than PHPA, has new features, PHP 5 compatibility etc. and that will be our main performance product. No further updates are planned for PHPA, but we may add compatibillity for the new Loaders.

Great.

You have me spoiled. Been using PHPA for a couple years now, made my billing webserver extremely fast.

Oh well. I guess I will have to wait.

Thank You.
