I was trying to deploy my application on a remote shared host. (php 5.2.5 cgi)

I wrote a post-install script ./install/install.php (not encoded), which utilize ioncube-loader-helper.php
to dynamically create custom php.ini files if server is running CGI mode, or else give guidance on manually modifying php.ini

So I ran the installer and uploaded everything. At the end of installation, I got a message saying "An ioncube loader is also needed in order to run, however your server configuration does not permit the automatic installation"

AND THE POST-INSTALL SCRIPT WAS NOT EXECUTED. instead, it links to a ioncube-loader-helper.php.

however, i tried to install the same package on my localhost (WIN - TS), and it didnt complain about a loader is needed, and my post-install script got executed.

Could you please help me out here and could you tell me in what situation the auto-installation actually works, coz as far as i know from php 5.2.5+, loader has to be loaded in a php.ini

Hi Nick, i still got no reply for the urgent prority ticket i submited a week ago. and i checked the ticket again just now, and it says the ticket is no longer open. THATS GREAT!! now, could you please give me some help on the forum.

Also, what you observed may be the programmed behaviour on the basis that Loaders could not be auto installed and the Loader helper may help with information on Loader installation.
