I noticed that the following feature is enabled by default: "Prevention of file tampering through use of digital signatures." I was wondering if you could give us the option to disable/enable that feature in the next release of ionCube PHP Encoder. When a user makes a backup of the original PHP files, the timestamps change and corrupt the files. Wouldn't it be nice if users had the freedom to be able to backup there PHP scripts?
Note: I'm not sure if I already posted something similar to this so forgive me if I already said this. |

Hi
By definition, backing up encoded files should have no effect on the files whatsoever other than possibly changing timestamps, although some backup solutions would restore file timestamps too. Timestamps have no effect on file integrity, and if files become corrupted then it is indeed because they are corrupted. If a user finds that a file is corrupted after a file restore then their backup strategy is fundamentally and seriously flawed. _________________ Community Admin |

Ok, I must have accidentally tampered with the file. I no longer have this problem. |
