Forgive the dumb questions.

I have a script i want to use the encoder on. Ive read through the faq but wanted to ask folks how difficult is it to integrate the encoder to a VERY large script?

Will it require rewritting the script? Or whats the short version of integrating.

Thanks

Dave

Hi Dave

If you're just looking to encode the file(s), then the short answer to what you need to do, is nothing! Certainly you do not need to change your PHP files in any way. In essence, the Encoder copies files from your source folder to a target folder, encoding PHP files, copying others, and optionally ignoring files that you don't want copied. There are many options of course to control the process, and in some versions of the Encoder, for restricting files to particular machines or having file expiry, but this is all well documented in the User Guide, and on Windows, made easy by a powerful GUI,

If you are looking to perform encoding by your PHP scripts, then there is an integration effort require there, but this is ultimately just a call to system(), or one of the other similar process control functions.

Please feel free to post any questions about usage to the forum as this may help others too, or send us a support email.
