|
|
Having separate download URL available for each IonCube Loader version would greatly help w/ homebrew-php and other packaging systems. Right now, after a new IonCube Loader is released, the `brew install php54-ioncube` command breaks until the sha1 and version are updated. |

+1
It is a hard requirement to be able to integrate ioncube into any packaging or build script.
We do not want the latest loader version, we want the version we tested. |

Agreed. We keep old versions, however as a best practice approach, I would recommend that you keep local copies of Loaders that you've tested so that can be sure to always have these available when you need them. This eliminates any risk from archived ones that you may be relying on from us disappearing on our side for any reason. We adopt this approach on code that we need such as old PHP versions and 3rd party libraries. There is the PHP museum with old PHP versions, but sometimes the museum becomes unavailable and it can also be incomplete. It would be unacceptable for us to be relying on the museum being available for old sources when we need them and essential for us to maintain our own local copies. _________________ Community Admin |

Our local copies tend to be all called ioncube_loaders_lin_x86-64.tar.gz
Any chance of putting a version number in the file name?
(And yeah, I know we should have renamed them when they were downloaded.) |
