Hello, I have a dedicated linux (centos) server running NGINX.
We just recently upgraded our site to PHP version 5.5
I have been attempting to upgrade / update the loader as one of our Magento extension requires this ioncube loader.
I the uploaded the loader-wizard to the site directory and followed the instructions. I continually get an error from the loader-wizard.php which states

------------------------------------------------------------------
Please note that the following problem currently exists with the ionCube Loader installation:
The necessary zend_extension line could not be found in the configuration.
-------------------------------------------------------------------

However, when I perform a php-v from the command prompt I get this:

-------------------------------------------------------------
PHP 5.5.21 (cli) (built: Jun 10 2015 05:26:44)
Copyright (c) 1997-2014 The PHP Group
Zend Engine v2.5.0, Copyright (c) 1998-2014 Zend Technologies
with the ionCube PHP Loader (enabled) + Intrusion Protection from ioncube24.com (unconfigured) v5.1.2, Copyright (c) 2002-2016, by ionCube Ltd.
with Zend OPcache v7.0.4-dev, Copyright (c) 1999-2014, by Zend Technologies
---------------------------------------------------------------

Here are the details of the actions I have performed:

When I perform a locate php.ini i get the following returned:

/etc/php.ini
/opt/rh/php55/root/etc/php.ini

I then loaded up phpinof(); to find the path of the PHP.ini and get this:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Loaded Configuration File /opt/rh/php55/root/etc/php.ini
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Scan this dir for additional .ini files /opt/rh/php55/root/etc/php.d
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

This directory is where i placed the new modules:
/opt/rh/php55/root/usr/lib64/php/modules/

I also created a new file called 00-ioncube.ini file which i placed in the directory /opt/rh/php55/root/etc/php.d

Ioncube will not load for the website but will load in the CLI
Thanks,

This type of issue can occur if PHP isn't upgraded fully so that CLI and the web server are using different PHP versions. Using different php.ini files can be another error with the Loader installed in one context but not another. Check for these types of setup errors, and if still stuck the best thing is to create a support ticket so that support can assist.
