hello
I use a local server on windows and i want to install ionCube Loader.
I edited the file C:\UwAmp\bin\apache\php.ini and included at the top of file :
zend_extension = "C:\UwAmp\bin\apache\ioncube\ioncube_loader_win_5.4.dll"

When I restart server local and i test if is ok , I get this error :

The ionCube Loader is not currently installed successfully. The following problems have been found with the ionCube Loader installation:
The ionCube Loader must be the first Zend extension listed in the configuration file, C:\UwAmp\bin\apache\php.ini.
The necessary zend_extension line could not be found in the configuration.

When I edit again php.ini the line :zend_extension = "C:\UwAmp\bin\apache\ioncube\ioncube_loader_win_5.4.dll"
has disappeared.
Thank you for your help

Systems often have configuration files that are created automatically, such as the resolv.conf file with some Linux distros. To avoid being a trap for the unaware, it's good practice for such files to be created with a comment in them to say that they were auto generated and that any manual edits would be lost at some point in the future, but not everyone follows best practice.

The issue you describe is clearly related to uwamp so is really a question for their forum, but sounds like it's an example of the above. You'll perhaps want to be looking for some template file to edit, but I'd recommend reading the uwamp documentation first as I would expect them to describe somewhere how to introduce custom changes into the php.ini file, and editing an existing template file might not be the correct way either as it might get replaced on an upgrade. Good luck in your investigation!
